After three solid days of rain at Mission Raceway Park, the hardworking staff at MRP were able to get in two rounds of qualifying three rounds of eliminations to complete the entire event in one condensed day.
After qualifying, WCPM points leader Garrett Richards lead the way with a 3.856 @ 197.20 pass, followed by Steve Horne, Ryan Griffin, Dave Kowalski, WCPM debutant Tom Katinic, Nick Duda, Jake Skocylas and Eric Horvath.
In round 1 of eliminations, Garrett Richards ran another sub 3.90 pass to get past Eric Horvath, Dave Kowalski beat Tom Katinic, Steve Horne knocked off Jake Skocylas and Ryan Griffin ran into unfortunate problems handing the win to Nick Duda.
In the first semi-final, Dave Kowalski went 3.982 to beat number one qualifier Garrett Richards and his 4.005, and in the other Steve Horne went 4.003, however, -0.0035 red on the tree, giving the win to Nick Duda.
In the final round Dave Kowalski continued his bracket like consistency and picked up the holeshot win, with his 4.161 defeating Nick Duda’s 4.126.
Next up for the West Coast Pro Modifieds is another stop at Mission Raceway Park, from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2 for the West Coast Outlaw Shootout.
