SCSN 19 - Saturday Report

Saturday action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway saw the completion of Round 1 & 2 in Pro Modified.

Rian Hayward’s 3.829 and 3.862 scored him wins in Round 1 and Round 2, and Garrett Richard went 3.894 and 3.909 to advance to Round 3. Both drivers have advanced to the semi finals, which will see Rian Hayward facing off against number 14 qualifier Josh Kalich, and Garrett Richard pairing up with Robert Bingham.

Jordan Lazic was unable to make the call in Round 1 with previous engine damage sustained in qualifying and Ryan Griffin’s 4.044 in Round 1 was beat by Eric Halverson.

WCPM member John de Jonge is also in attendance at SCSN 19, competing in Big Tire / No Time in his Top Sportsman Camaro. John has advanced to the third round of BT/NT and advanced to the second round of Electronics.

Looking at other regular WCPM competitors at SCSN 19, Nick Duda lost in Round 1 of Pro Mod and Round 2 of Big Tire / No Time, Eric Horvath lost in Round 1 of Pro Mod, Eric Halverson lost in Round 2 of Pro Mod and Steve Nicholson lost in Round 2 of Big Tire / No Time and in Round 2 of Outlaw 10.5.

At the PDRA Word Finals in Virginia Scott Blake heads into eliminations qualified in the 15th spot with a 3.797 @ 195.03 MPH. He will race nitrous standout Jim Halsey in Round 1.
