Just Send It Shootout - Saturday Report

Saturday morning West Coast Pro Modifieds competitors had a fourth and final qualifying opportunity, which was highlighted by JR Lazic resetting the Rad Torque Raceway track record with an incredible 3.813 @ 194.72 MPH pass to maintain the number one qualifying spot.

Round one of eliminations saw several upsets, most notably number two qualifier Garrett Richards who went red against number seven qualifier Mike Gondziola.

Mike went onto run 3.921 @ 191.41 MPH in round 2 to get past Steve Goddard, to find his way back into the finals.

On the other side of the ladder number one qualifier JR Lazic beat Rick Barnhart in round one and Jay Syvertsen in round 2, to meet Mike in the finals and setup a repeat of the final round from last month’s Rocky Mountain Nationals.

In the finals JR Lazic continued his dominance of the 2023 season and beat Mike with a 3.842 at 194.47 MPH pass and further extended his championship points lead.

Other heads up winners from the Inaugural Just Send It Shootout included Jordan Brandon in X275, Max Nielsen in Limited Street, Nick Goddard in Real Steel Small Tire and Russell Flaman in Real Steel Big Tire.
