Full Blown Frenzy - Sunday Report
Unfortunately the opening round of the 2023 West Coast Pro Modifieds season does not have a winner, yet.
A thunderstorm rolled into the track Saturday night after racing was complete, and a lightning strike wreaked havoc on some critical electrical equipment at the track. The Pacific Raceways staff did an incredible job working to solve the issue, and racing was able to continue early Sunday afternoon, however, a 5 PM curfew unfortunately prevented the conclusion of the event.
Stay tuned to WestCoastProModifieds.com for information regarding when the race will be wrapped.
In the racing that was completed on Sunday afternoon, JR Lazic beat Mike Gondziola in Round 1 and Steve Goddard in Round 2, and advance to the semi final where he will have a bye.
On the other side of the ladder, Rian Hayward beat Joe Loch and Ryan Griffin to advance to the semifinal, where he will face off against Scott Blake, who had previously knocked off Gerald Bucklin and Garrett Richards.
