Full Blown Frenzy - Saturday Report
Qualifying for the opening round of the 2023 West Coast Pro Mods season concluded on Saturday evening, with numerous records falling and several personal bests.
Saturday night’s session was highlighted by JR Lazic becoming the first WCPM driver to reach 200 MPH, with a 3.799 at 200.92 MPH blast.
Not far behind was nitrous veteran Scott Blake, who went 3.818 at 195 pass in his newly debuted 1969 Camaro.
Rounding out the top three was local nitrous racer Rian Hayward, who dipped into the 3.80’s with a 3.899 at 190 MPH pass.
The full qualifying order can be seen below, with eliminations scheduled to begin tomorrow at 10:30 AM PDT.
