SCSN 18 - Thursday Report
Thursday qualifying at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is complete, with a number of Pacific Northwest drivers having successful days. Washington’s Rian Hayward reset the LVMS Outlaw 10.5 track record with a blistering 3.84 at 193 MPH to be the number one qualifier in the class. Also in the class are Eric Halverson (#3 qualifier, 3.96 @ 187 MPH) and Steve Nicholson (#4 qualifier, 4.00 @ 180 MPH).
Garrett Richards is the lone Precision Turbo Pro Mod participant, and laid down a 5.82 in yesterday’s testing, however, shook the tires in his lone hit today.
In Big Tire / No Time, Jordie Lazic has ditched the Pro Mod tires for 10.5’s and has made successful runs in the 1957 Bunker Junker Chevy.
Nick Duda is at the track tuning a number of northwest cars, most notably BC’s Justin Gallant and his turbocharged x275 Mustang, who went a personal best 4.33 today. Washington’s Christopher Brenton is also qualified solidly in x275.
